According to the website, “PEANUT GALLERY is a Chrome Experiment that lets you add intertitles to old film clips using your voice, then share those clips with your friends. It uses your computer’s microphone and the Web Speech API in Google Chrome to turn speech into text.”
There are 15 different film clips to choose from and you just record your own commentary which becomes an intertitle. It’s really a clever little tool. The speech to text was very accurate. You can post the clip to Google+, Twitter, or Facebook. I thought it would be fun to use as a party invitation, though I’m not sure how you could only send it to certain individuals.
How would you use it? Educationally or personally?
